Accessibility Statement
My MS & AI Journey is committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a working target. The site is built with Hugo and the PaperMod theme, and I review every change for readability, keyboard support, and low-energy use.
How I support accessibility
- Keyboard-first navigation with a visible skip link that jumps directly to main content.
- Semantic HTML headings and landmarks that follow a consistent hierarchy.
- Alt text for all editorial images and descriptive link text that explains the destination.
- Dark-mode friendly colours vetted with automated contrast checks.
Testing and maintenance
I regularly perform:
- Keyboard-only walkthroughs of new layouts and critical paths.
- Automated scans with axe DevTools (last run 11 October 2025 across the homepage, Start Here, and a long-form post) and Lighthouse spot checks during release cycles.
- Manual spot checks of headings, link purpose, and focus outlines on long-form guides.
Feedback channels
If you experience any barriers, please email [email protected]
. I aim to respond within five business days and will prioritise fixes that block access to core content.
Known limitations
- Some legacy screenshots lack full captions. I am adding accessible descriptions as I refresh each post.
- Downloadable resources currently rely on PDF. Accessible HTML alternatives are planned as part of the publishing workflow.
Statement updates
Last reviewed on 11 October 2025 (inline link styling updated; axe rerun confirmed zero violations).
